Where you can help
Baseball Coach / Trainer
Help our coaches develop training programs, share drills, and mentor players. You can contribute remotely or join us in Barahona for a week or more.
Academic Tutor / Mentor
Help players with homework, study habits, and academic goals. Remote tutoring via video call is possible. Spanish speakers especially needed.
Photographer / Videographer
Document the real stories from the field. Your photos and videos help us raise funds, connect with donors, and share the mission with the world.
Marketing & Social Media
Help us grow our audience, craft compelling content, and reach more donors. Social media management, copywriting, email campaigns — all needed.
Camp Coordinator (2026)
Help plan and run our 2026 international baseball camps. Logistics, player coordination, cultural programming, and on-the-ground support.
Fundraising & Grant Writing
Help us find and apply for grants, build corporate sponsorship relationships, and grow our donor base. Every dollar raised goes directly to Barahona.
In-Person Trips
Come to Barahona
There's nothing like seeing the program in person. Volunteers who visit Barahona come back changed. You'll work alongside our local staff, meet the players and their families, and see exactly where every dollar goes.
We coordinate trip logistics, housing, and scheduling. Most in-person volunteers stay 1–2 weeks. We'll make sure your time is well spent.
What to expect
Barahona is a coastal city in the southwest of the Dominican Republic. It's warm, beautiful, and full of life. It's also one of the poorest provinces in the country — which is exactly why we're here.

FAQ
Common questions
Do I need to speak Spanish?
Not at all for most roles. Spanish is helpful for in-person trips and tutoring, but many volunteers contribute remotely in English. Our local staff — Ulises, Bernarda, and Rosa — are bilingual and will help bridge any gaps.
How much time do I need to commit?
It depends on the role. Remote roles like marketing or grant writing can be a few hours a week on your own schedule. In-person trips are typically 1–2 weeks. We work around your availability — no rigid commitments required to get started.
Is this a paid position?
All US-based roles are volunteer. Our Dominican staff — Ulises, Bernarda, and Rosa — are paid as funding allows. As we grow, we hope to expand paid roles on the ground in Barahona.
Can I visit Barahona even if I'm not a coach or tutor?
Absolutely. Photographers, videographers, camp coordinators, and general supporters are all welcome to visit. If you have a heart for the mission and want to see it firsthand, we'll find a way to make your trip meaningful.
Who will I be working with?
You'll work directly with Brian (founder) for onboarding and coordination, and with our Dominican team on the ground — Ulises (head coach), Bernarda (general manager), and Rosa (content). It's a small, tight-knit team.
What if I don't see a role that fits my skills?
Select "Other" in the application form and tell us what you bring. We're a small org with a lot of needs — if you're passionate about the mission, there's likely a place for you.
